Far removed from the doom and gloom of the daily news and a million miles from the global crisis, ANNELIE tells the story of a loveable rag-tag band of society’s outcasts with nothing left to lose. They are seen as hopeless cases, they’ve been out of work for years, and the only hard currency in their little world is booze.

But even the peace and quiet of long-term losers can be disturbed. In 2012, their home – the former boarding house ANNELIE – is to be closed down. While Max, once a gifted actor, but now a gifted sponger, is dragged to ever lower depths by his drug addiction, the rest of the Annelie family have to pull together one last time. A bizarre twist of fate makes one thing clear: “Annelie” may be doomed, but she won’t be going quietly!
