A stately home in the Viennese suburbs. The spacious garden seems fossilized, as if time had stood still. Just like the family that lives in this house. One day, unexpectedly, a strange young man shows up. Little by little, the man who seems to have no past and no story at all develops a relationship to each member of the family: to the lady of the house, a traumatized ballet dancer; to her husband, a politician; to the paraplegic son; and to the perturbed daughter. His openness even extends into the realm of sexuality. He awakens strong desires in the man of the house, but also a very dark and brutal side.

Everything changes when the politician’s mother arrives. She is immune to the young man’s charm and mistrusts him from the very beginning. Out of fear and jealousy, the man of the house then turns against him.
