The film tells the extraordinary, inspiring and, above all, moving success story of the Berlin breakdance group FLYING STEPS. Vartan Bassil, a visionary and the driving force behind the group, looks back onto a dark past. As a child during the civil war in Lebanon, he and his family fled to Germany where they had to start life all over again. But in the middle of an unimaginable situation, Vartan had an insatiable dream. To achieve the impossible! His desire to make it as a B-Boy, to be able to offer his family some kind of perspective and to gain social recognition was Vartan’s motivation. But reality became one of his greatest conflicts: friends, society and, above all, the families of the four protagonists placed great demands on them to take on responsibility in life.

But the very idea of giving up their dream to become dancers in order to go down a more financially secure path was out of the question. Spurred on and obsessed by their dreams and driven by their hearts, Vartan and his group fought their way through life with heroic endurance. And their success speaks for itself.
