The sheltered small-town life of 16-year-old Sebastian changes abruptly when his family takes in 15-year-old Kolja, supposedly the son of a recently deceased friend of his father. In addition to his little sister, another teenager now lives with them. Although the two boys are strangers at first, they begin to open up to each other more and more and discover that they are biological brothers.
The trust between them and their parents breaks down, and as Sebastian and Kolja grow closer than ever expected, Sebastian’s life is turned upside down: not only has he found a soulmate in his new brother, but also his first true love. Overwhelmed by their feelings, the two hide their relationship, but when their secret incestuous affair is exposed, the family is ripped from the social fabric of the small town and clashes with societal norms. What follows is an emotional rollercoaster.
