Wuppertal, in the autumn of 2002. It’s rushhour. While Marie and Bela are on their way home, Marie’s son splits up from his girlfriend. At more or less the same time, former lovers Marie and Bela chance upon each other at a suspension railway station. For Marie, it’s an encounter with the love of her life. While she hopes their former closeness might be restored, Bela is rather reserved, crushing Marie’s desire to conjure back up the magic moments of their joint past. Eventually, Bela gets on his train und leaves Marie deeply disturbed behind. When her son meets her at the station, the viewer is revealed a secret forever closed to Bela …
