In the Swinging Sixties, young Linda from the backstreets of South London skips school for an ice disco. In 1968, she flies to the Olympic Games as a three-time British pairs champion. Half a century later, Linda laces up her skates again. Together with prison officer Nadia and London Underground conductor David, she forms the world’s first ice trio. Everything is at stake – Linda’s life included.

The film follows six women and men from around the world for nearly three years, from training at home to performing at the World Championships in hobby ice skating in Oberstdorf. However, the road to the Alps is rocky, and our skaters carry their entire lives with them: engineer Elena from the farthest corner of the Soviet Union once remained an undiscovered child prodigy at the end of the world. West Berlin accountant Roland takes up his old skates again at the age of 70, the same ones for which he once stacked canned goods in the supermarket.
