Berlin, June 1990: The Wall is already open, monetary union and German unity are in preparation, and the dispute over how to deal with expropriated houses is in full swing. In this time full of hopes and fears, Katja (16) from West Berlin and Thorben (17) from the GDR are experiencing their first great love. A difficult love, because her parents are fighting bitterly for a house in Kleinmachnow (GDR). It’s about old wounds and new prejudices. Only Thorben’s handball coach seems to support the young couple until Thorben’s trust is destroyed by this supposed confidant. Thus the two young people are heading for a catastrophe, while outside the unity of Germany is progressing with great strides …
