The millionaire Sunny falls into a coma which she never comes out of and her husband, the Danish aristocrat Claus von Bülow, is accused of attempted murder. The evidence is incriminating and von Bülow is sentenced to 30 years of prison. But the top lawyer Dershowitz, with his young team, appeals the case. The film is based on the true story of the events from 1979, on trial testimonies, and Dershowitz’s book on the case.
