Life can be very complicated when you are 19, gay, and secretly in love with your piano teacher! Being gay in Cologne is actually no big deal, unless you haven’t had your coming-out yet and you try to ignore the fact that most of the “pack” seems pretty unreliable. Things are even more complicated if you have a mother who thinks she’s given birth to a concert pianist and a father who wants to take you back to his hometown in Montenegro. And when your father wants a “real man” for a son, homosexuality is shameful and still a huge taboo, your best friend wants more than you are willing to give, and your piano teacher decides to leave Cologne forever, well, it’s high time to make some decisions, despite your fears and despite all the consequences. It takes a lot of courage to finally stand up for who and what you are!
