Siblings Ben and Felice have one thing in common: a difficult childhood caused by their father. Felice has come to terms with this better than her brother and decides to invite their father to her birthday. But Ben is be there, too. Ben, however, knows nothing about this, so it comes as a nasty surprise when he arrives and finds out that their father has also been invited.

Ben’s first reaction is to flee, but then he realizes that he can’t leave his sister alone – not with their father. So Ben stays, and as the two of them wait for their father, memories from their shared childhood gradually resurface. The intended relaxing time by the poolside turns into a major conflict.
