Sue abandoned the province, her family and friends to make it in New York. She is now a single in her thirties, living in Manhattan, attractive, sexy and intelligent, but her human interaction is fleeting and coincidental: neighbours and other people she meets accidentally. Her life starts to come apart when she loses her job as a secretary and falls behind with the rent.
