Ternitz is a dump, a mere stepping stone for Betty, working in the local dogs’s saloon, and car mechanic Lilly. They dream of America and welcome whatever furthers their dream. So they drive off in their red Ford Mustang to meet Elvis impersonator El Bresli. Lilly falls for the American roadie Bruce, Betty has eyes just for the star.
