Engulfed by a paralyzing feeling of unease and cut off from friends and family, Lea finds herself in a violent relationship with Sven. There is no real life left, only abyss, stagnation, and surface. After another assault, a knee-jerk reaction drives Lea to flee on foot through the forest.

In the middle of the night, she arrives at a secluded country inn that is just being renovated by a couple. They look after confused Lea. But shortly afterwards, Sven turns up. He has tracked Lea down and will not let anyone or anything take her away from him. Lea has to make a decision – will she let herself be taken back yet again, or will she stand up to him?
