We’re friends.
Namely, the Friends of the Hof International Film Festival, a nonprofit organization that provides financial and active support to the festival. We act as a linking element between the festival and the local community: film screenings, exhibitions, and other activities help ensure that the festival remains a presence throughout the year.
We are keeping an archive.
And what a collection it is: spanning nearly sixty years of the Film Festival: movie and festival posters, videotapes and DVDs of submitted films, correspondence with countless domestic and international directors, a wide-ranging film library, photos, and the Film database:
We focuse on many things.
First, we want to extend the Hof Film Festival beyond the six festival days in October and raise its profile both in Germany and abroad. Second, we would like to fully classify the archival material and make it available to film publications and festivals in Germany and abroad. And last but not least, we are passionate about ensuring that the archive remains in Hof.
We offer fascinating insights.
Film-related events throughout the year, club screenings of archival footage, free admission to screenings on Festival Sunday, and, last but not least, the satisfaction of supporting the Hof International Film Festival.
We are charitable.
Membership dues and donations (IBAN: DE29 7805 0000 0220 4608 93) are generally tax-deductible, as the Friends Association pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes.
Expenses up to and including 200 EUR can be claimed on your income tax return even without a donation receipt. For amounts exceeding this, you can request a donation receipt from us at » archiv@home-of-films.de. Please provide your full first and last name as well as your address.
