Sibylle Berg provokes, somehow. Her life story from GDR refugee to best-selling author almost sounds like invented by herself. Earlier, Sibylle Berg was searching for happiness; today she is searching for a house. In this portrait of the great ironic playwright we learn the masculine form of “author” and why most of these prop up their heads in photos, practical things one could learn in the GDR (like ice diving), how mushrooms control the minds of politicians – and that behind every shy writer there is a shy person.
