Karl wants to start all over again. After being released from prison, his only wish is to just disappear and leave the past behind. However, his former companion Arnold disrupts the plan. He wants to get his money back, the money Karl had taken from him before getting caught. At first, Karl doesn’t seem very impressed, so Arnold uses Sarah, a very important woman in Karl’s life, as leverage. Karl is forced to act. After a drunken night, he considers his situation and decides to take action for a very last time.

Karl visits his allies from the past and asks them for help. Unfortunately, all of them have given up the business and have changed their lives. They are now living in semi-detached houses or have hit the bottle. Only Georg, Karl’s best friend, agrees to help him by organizing a weapon and telling him about a robbery that could help them come into some fast money. Karl meets Sarah in a café. She is accompanied by a little girl. Karl is overwhelmed with joy and when Sarah begs him to take off with her, Karl is certain that he has to put his past behind him and get rid of Arnold. He decides to settle the affair. At first everything seems to go as planned. But during his last meeting with Arnold, things don’t turn out quite as expected …
