Lynn discovers that her 16-year-old son, Shaun, is having a secret relationship with a woman, Amanda, 15 years his senior. Although Lynn subjects Shaun to a disciplinary lifestyle, he remains hell-bent on being with Amanda and intends to live with her. Unable to influence her son, Lynn arranges to meet Amanda alone and learns just how serious the relationship is. Fearful of losing her son, Lynn’s actions end up being a misguided but necessary step towards protecting Shaun, and she runs the risk of losing him altogether.
