The film traces the special spirit and ethos at the Stuttgart Opera that has led the house to extraordinary success and international recognition. The Stuttgart Opera has already received the ‘Opera House of the Year’ award from international critics from Europe and the USA seven times, more frequently than any other opera house in the world. This success is all the more surprising since the Opera House under the direction of Jossi Wieler is characterized by a way of working that is probably unique in the opera world: music theater as an integrative joint work that is created in an open dialogue and at eye level between makers, different trades in the Opera House and the audience.
