A television program from the year 1963 about a unique test trial: in the spring of 1963, the German average family, the Herrmanns, get a surprise visit in their own home. They are the first family in Germany to receive German television’s new standard instant image system. The family now have their own television set with which, thanks to hundreds of channels, they can connect with people in the whole world. But what does this new technology do to the Herrmanns who just wanted to have a little look at the world?
