A year after her husband’s death, Carola is in the same situation as her dilapidated house: both are in need of repair. She meets the youthful and charming handyman Roger who makes her an offer: She doesn’t have to pay him until she gets back on her feet financially. In exchange, all he wants is a warm meal, an occasional shower and an occasional night. Carola agrees to the deal even though she risks jeopardizing her relationship to her daughter Stephanie.
