Aaron and his French girlfriend Lea have been together for two years. And there is also Tristan, Lea’s 8-year-old son who lives with them and his real father. The couple is planing to move with to Paris with Tristan, but before the move they are taking a trip to a secluded mountain cottage in the Dolomite Mountains so that Aaron and Tristan can get closer to one another and the three of them really become a family. Aaron tries to develop a closeness to Tristan, but as soon as he starts gaining some ground, Tristan becomes torn between Aaron and his father, who is constantly present with his phone calls during their holidays. Lea tries to mediate, but Aaron becomes increasingly unable to deal with the conflict in her presence. When he and the boy get separated during an Alpine mountain hike and impenetrable fog rises, a catastrophe seems inevitable …
