One day, Zano has the odd idea that he and his girlfriend, Naïma, set out for Algiers: Why don’t they cross France and Spain to travel to Algeria and discover the country their parents had to flee decades ago? The two young people set out with music as their only luggage. Step by step, from one chance meeting to the next, from techno rhythms to flamenco, they retrace the route so many representatives of their parents’ generation took to find exile in the north. Intoxicated with the sense of freedom, they become engulfed by Andalusia’s vibrant sensuality before eventually crossing the Mediterranean.
