27-year-old Benjamin is sitting out a 10-month sentence under house arrest at his mother’s house with an electronic monitoring shackle around his ankle. Benjamin and his mother have distanced themselves from one another in the past years. And now they are being brought back together through a state sanction and are forced to share a small apartment in the suburbs of Vienna. The spatial closeness initiates a process of emotional approach between mother and son.
