Bombs, war, angry bearded men, veiled sobbing women, destroyed cities: Iraq today. On the other hand, there are images from the 50s and 60s: films with frivolous music, female students dressed in Western clothing, elegantly dressed men in Baghdad, a modern city. How did this happen? Scattered between Auckland, Moscow, New York and London, Samir tells the story of his globalized Iraqi middle-class family.
