The eight-year-old orphan Violette moves in with her uncle Régis, a cleaner at Versailles Castle. The shy Violette hates him. She thinks he smells bad and decides not to speak a word with him. In front of the backdrop of the Sun King, the stubborn little girl and the big bear have to come together and live through their grief.
