Renate, an elegant elderly lady, sits with her friends at a prettily laid coffee table having a party. But suddenly objects in the room change and the sophisticated company turns out to be a sad situation in the recreation room of a nursing home. Renate suffers from dementia. She wants to talk to her son to take her away from this in her eyes hostile environment. She has already packed her belongings and is anxiously waiting for him. But when the door opens, it’s just her caretaker. When Renate mistakes him for her son, he takes advantage of the opportunity to convince her to stay at the nursing home.
