It’s the annual general meeting of Santa Clauses; a Christmas carol resounds in the hall – more than 350 Santa Clauses and 50 female angels prepare for their big mission. Christmas Eve they will be visiting nearly 5000 families in Berlin. We accompany three Santa Clauses into seasonally bedecked living rooms. They’re not travelling on a sleigh, but by car or bike, delivering presents with the help of an angel or on their own. Their job is to examine the children, listen to the poems they recite and to hand over presents, but also to create a strict background for the parents’ attempts at educating their offspring.
