May is a 14-year-old girl who lives with her grandparents in provincial Germany. Despite an idyllic façade, rigid structures govern her everyday life. On a hot summer day, May develops an interest in the Polish boy Piotr, who is working on her grandparents’ house with his father. At first, May confronts him with provocation. He becomes a catalyst for her inner pressure. Eventually the two become closer. What leads to a moment of tenderness, ends in betrayal.
