The sisters Sachi, Yoshino and Chika live together in a big house in Kamakura, a coastal town not far from Tokyo. For their father’s funeral, who left the family 15 years ago, the three young women travel to the countryside. There, they meet their half-sister Suzu, who is now all alone. Although they barely know the 13-year-old, they offer her to move to Kamakura with them. Suzu accepts their invitation, and with this, a new life for the four sisters begins; a life in which the past has its place, but only the present counts. Shimmering reflections of the sun on the sea, vibrant colors of the autumn forest, a firework that announces the summer – in the middle of the play of colors which the town of Kamakura passes through in the cycle of the seasons, the story of these four sisters unfolds.
