His name is Powers – Austin Powers! Dandy and fashion photographer by day, secret agent by night. In the Swinging Sixties, Austin Powers, the top man in the British secret service, is cryogenetically frozen, to be defrosted once his arch rival Dr Evil and his mysterious spaceship reappear in the earth’s orbit.

When Dr Evil continues his reign of terror some thirty years later, Austin Powers has to fulfil his mission. But the world has changed. Gone are the days of the sexual revolution, of casual experiments with drugs, of easy living. The Nineties present themselves as times of political correctness and health fads – bad times for dandies used to women swooning over them despite their crooked teeth.

But he wouldn’t be Austin Powers if he didn’t recognize his true mission and adapt to the modern times to bring about Dr Evil’s downfall and to win the heart of his charming assistant Vanessa.
