The film tells the extraordinary story of the Swiss rapper Besijan Kacorraj whose biggest problem is not having a Swiss passport. After several armed robberies, Besijan is deported to Kosovo, although he grew up in Zurich from the age of one.

Actually, he should have only “held out” for two more years in Kosovo, but the dark undertow of criminal energy catches up with him. He gets into the line of fire of a powerful clan in Kosovo and has to flee. Besijan relapses, does time in a Swiss prison again and tries to explain how all this has come about. Justifying his actions is his forte since he is eloquent and clever.

The film shows unique footage from 1999, when 15-year-old Besijan embarks on a criminal career. Interviews and scenes showing the protagonist Besijan as an adult in freedom and captivity form the framework of the film. After his deportation, Besko is seen trying to make his fortune legally as a “businessman” in the sometimes bleak and harsh Kosovo. The film explores the topics of deportation and belonging.
