Nina and Mechthild, two young probation officers, do their jobs mechanically without the least desire to really help the down and outs they’re dealing with. One Saturday evening, half-heartedly gearing up for a night on the town, they meet ever-optimistic cowboy Rudi Rembrand. Despite his intimate acquaintance with social security, borstals and jail he knows how to have a good time. Which in this special case he should rather have missed out on.
