Easter weekend in a French country town. On duty at the police precinct, the female lieutenants Françoise Ruiz and Clémentine Arpinon deal with day-to-day business. The ad hoc boredom arouses tension between the two women who have very little in common. An intervention for disturbances of the peace at night gives them a chance to take action.
