Beauty has a constantly growing importance in our society and culture. The film examines the significance outward appearance has gained in our society today and looks for the essence of beauty. The film introduces the possibilities of modern plastic surgery beyond the well-known aesthetic surgery, by telling the life stories of three people who consider themselves confronted with severe facial disfigurement or simply the wish for further beautification. They tell us about how their lives changed with their looks and what plastic surgery did for them.
