A job as a seamstress brings the young Bolivian Juana to neighboring Argentina. Her husband and child remain in Bolivia. But soon her dream of financial improvement is shattered – under exploitative working conditions, Juana has to make textile goods for a luxury brand. Her employer’s demands become increasingly more absurd, the working atmosphere unbearable. When her son falls ill, Juana plans to return home, but pulling out now is out of the question for her employer.
