Mia is fifteen and severely traumatized. After her mother dies, she goes to live with her aunt Cleo and is catapulted in the left wing cultural scene in Berlin. She has given up all hope of ever growing up in a normal family. Out of necessity, she tries to find her way in an adult world, one that is more bizarre than the young could ever possibly imagine.
