They are the pretty sidekicks of soccer stars and always right there, where their husbands earn their money: Dina and Judith are the two “new additions” among the player’s wives. While Dina – during all her years as a player’s wife in which she followed her husband halfway across Europe – lost more and more to affluence and sheer boredom, Judith is enjoying her exciting new life as the girlfriend of a promising young soccer pro. When Dina meets up with her younger “player’s wife colleague”, she recognizes a lot of herself in the naïve, provincial girl. She decides to save Judith – and as a result, to also save herself.
