Austria’s largest housing complex is situated in the northeast of Vienna. 8000 people live in 2400 flats built 20 years ago. When Mrs. Z. moved in with her seven children, she was happy with her new home. After two more children, she became a single mother. She likes the estate. Mrs. G. still lives with her divorced husband. Brutality was the grounds for their divorce.

It’s a good place to live in. Mrs. W. was engaged in a lawsuit with the city of Vienna. Almost 40 million Austrian shilling for inflated rents were repaid. Three people approached her in the middle of the night to thank her. Mrs. D. moved in because her ex-husband had battered her children. Her son started taking drugs. Her new partner is from Yugoslavia. She is annoyed because foreigners always want everything for free.

1800 children and adolescents live here. Building a campfire is a criminal act. Mr. D. is caretaker and vice party district chairman. His idea of happiness is the extension of the underground. The architect is happy he was able to design a housing estate with no cars.
