Sylvain, a young Frenchman, devotes his life to the cinema. He runs a small local theater where he is program director, cashier and projectionist all in one. But there is something else – Sylvain has a dark secret: at night, when the last screening is over, the introverted man roams the streets, ambushes young women and murders them. When he is finished, he cuts off their right ear to complete his bizarre ritual.
