Krista is middle-aged, the mother of three children from three different fathers, and a beautiful creature. Her physique and movements are elegant, well-balanced, noble, perfect. That’s why Krista was elected “Miss Germany” – the most beautiful dairy cow in all of Germany.
But it’s title that fuels expectations: not only her milk is in demand, but also her egg cells, 30 or 40 at a time. The market needs her genes, surrogate mothers will later give birth to her calves – at least if everything goes according to the plans of 31-year-old farmer and breeder Jörg Seeger. But Krista’s down-to-earth nature obstructs such mechanisms of exploitation and the development of a real trade mark for Europe’s food industry. The path to success doesn’t run so smoothly, so the young, innovative and venturesome farmer has to make some concessions before Krista becomes an efficient super cow…
