LIFE IN LOOPS is a new kind of film, using original material and mixing it with new imagery. About thirty per cent of the material originate directly (in a new edit) from the the documentary MEGACITIES by Michael Glawogger, the rest is constructed from its unused footage as well as new footage of Tokyo filmed by MEGACITIES cameraman, Wolfgang Thaler. The sound, created by the Sofa Surfers, defines the visual edits, and vice versa.

Michael Glawogger willingly transferred the rights to his footage for this project. The film remix, a symbiotic connection of image and sound, could best be described as an experimental-music-documentary film.
