A group of septuagenarians gather around their friend, the 72-year-old inventor Yehezkel: they want to help their friend Max fulfil his wish to die in peace. They enlist the help of a retired veterinarian, who supplies the tranquilizers, and a former policeman, who is supposed to get rid of the evidence, to help them with their mission in finding the best way to help Max. Since none of them is willing to “pull the trigger” and end Max’s suffering, Yehezkel builds a machine for self-euthanasia. Soon thereafter, rumors spread and people from all over Jerusalem flock to the retirement home in order to help their loved one’s free themselves from their suffering. At first hesitant, Yehezkel, his wife Lavana and Dr. Stein give in to their demands and travel throughout Israel to help them fulfil their last wish. But when Lavana’s dementia deteriorates, Yehezkel himself must face a decision.
