In three chapters from three different parts of the world, the film drives home the vital importance of the element water for mankind. Despite water. Without water. With water. From the torrents and floods in the Brahmaputra’s delta in Bangladesh via Aralsk, the once flourishing fishing harbour on the Aral Sea that now lies forlorn in the steppe of Kazakhstan, to the daily battles over a few cans of clean water in Kibera, Nairobi’s largest slum.
