The film plays in Berlin where people come from far away and everybody talks simultaneously. There are five main characters, a dog and two or three love stories. One of them concerns Anton who has only six months to live due to a brain tumour. But then Anton has had the feeling that things are getting far too complicated anyway and that he’s understanding less and less each day. So he decides to tidy up his life and see himself as a beginner in life. Of course one would think that six months are far too short to get everything sorted, but just seven days later, Anton has a fall and breaks his neck … and time’s enough, after all, because he has the luck of the beginner.
